Haul | Drug Store Make Up and Tk Maxx

So, I just got paid last week and got really over excited in Camberley Shopping Centre as I have only had about 86p to my name for the last 3 months. So, walking into boots, convincing myself I would only purchase myself one lipstick this month, I realised virtually all stock was on 3 for 2 offer... my 1 lipstick plan turned into 3 plus other necessary (I try to convince myself) make up items.

Many people have raved about the Sleek contour kit and I was initially looking to purchase this but unfortunately, they didn't have it in stock. Instead, I picked up this natural palette. I absolutely love this palette and the eye shadows show up really well on your eyes and the colours are lovely! The only thing I would say, is that the white shade (top left hand corner) called "nougat" isn't extremely pigmented and barely noticeable unless I plather it on. Nonetheless, I have still been using it as a highlight underneath my eyebrows. I also wouldn't recommend the cheap eyeshadow brush for people with sensitive eyes - I have never been keen on these types of brushes as I don't think they are particularly gentle on your eyes - using them is a bit like continuously rubbing your eyes with a toothbrush (slight over exaggeration there).

I needed a new black eyeliner as my previous ones have literally all run out as i wear black eyeliner almost everyday. I thought the pen style of the eyeliner would help with a winged eyeliner look... as I have yet to perfect this! I was really disappointed with this eyeliner though as the colour was really weak, it looked as though half the eyeliner had rubbed off after just putting it on! I did like the style of the eyeliner though as it was easy to draw on.

For the past year, I have always either used the "Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch" or "Smashbox Photo Finish" primer before but these are more expensive and you only get a small quantity every time you buy them so I wanted to try something new. Since I love Rimmel drugstore make up, I decided I would try this one. I am a little disappointed with this product as it just made my face really sticky and slightly red - maybe I had a bad reaction to it?! Definatly looks like I am going to have to return to the more extreme priced primer.

I saw these in boots a few months ago and literally fell in love with them immediately. I am a huge fan of Kate Moss so when I saw her name above the product I was instantly intrigued. I wish I could afford all the colours and they are super lipsticks - very pigmented and the colour lasts such a long time! I brought 2 similar red colours and a nude which I have used extremely frequently since I brought them last week. I am going to have to go back and spend the last of my pennies on some more.

I then went into Tk Maxx. I quite frankly, could spend hours and hours looking through the home and beauty departments within the store - there are so many bargains and cute vintage-y home products and candles! Annoyingly, I was shopping with my older sister and we had already been shopping for about 4 hours and been out for lunch and so she was beginning to get a bit moody... meaning had to shop around as quickly as possible; picking up every candle and smelling it within 3 seconds, browsing through all the handbags at 60 miles per hour and rushing through the beauty section sniffing every body product as quickly as possible and grabbing make up products that I have used before or is well raved about.

I loooooooove these make up brushes. They are super soft on the face and excellent brushes - the hair doesn't fall out and they last forever. Since this was a very handy set and reduced, the had to be brought! No regrets; worth every penny and I can not fault the product.

6. Bathroom Ceramic Holder

This was only £3.99 from Tk Maxx in the bathroom section and I felt it would be an extremely handy make up brush holder. It is ceramic and all white and so suits my bedroom perfectly. It holds my "most popular" make up brushes and it has a divider so I can divide my make up brushes into a face and eyeshadow compartments which suits me brilliantly as I very OCD when it comes to organising things! Classy and very helpful product, I definitely will have to buy some more of these!

The rest of my money was unfortunately spent on food, drink and cigarettes but next month I will start saving (hopefully..maybe.. probably not)
