Two and a half years ago, I woke up one morning and decided I needed something new and exciting in my life. Something challenging that would increase my responsibility and give me something to care for. My answer? A puppy. Like most of the random, peculiar aspirations that pop into my head, I was determined to achieve this. One week and a sold Nikon camera later, I found myself sat in the car driving 6 hours up north to purchase myself an all-black, Imperial Shih Tzu puppy.
Today, my little puppy had her own little puppies. Over the course of 3 hours, five black Imperial Shih Tzu puppies entered this world. An experience that involved 7 towels, 1 ruined sofa, 8 family members, 2 domino's pizzas, and countless "Chandler Type" sarcastic comments.
By 2am, everyone was exhausted (especially my precious puppy) but the whole labour process went smoothly and successfully. Everyone is healthy, resting or feeding and I am now just very excited for what is left to come - my puppy to gain her strength back and watching her puppies growing into little bundles of joy and fluff that I can waste hours of my day playing with.
That random moment of pure insanity when I decided to purchase a puppy has brought me so much joy. I find it fascinating what can actually end up happening when you follow that little voice in your head telling you do something crazy though everyone around you is telling you that your mad, hmmmm... *remembering all crazy decisions face*
Have you experienced any spontaneous decisions which have led to great experiences and stories? I would love to read about them!
If anybody is thinking about breeding their dogs or just generally interested in this topic then feel free to ask any questions. I love sharing my experiences hoping that it might aid someone else!
